Integrated Diploma Programme
Detailed Overview

Those who are already into counselling practice can enhance their work through this unique offering & the framework of the 4th generation of Neurolinguistics & Gestalt Therapy.

Integrated Diploma Programme (IDP) is an advanced ten month programme aimed at developing professionals from a varied broad range of work in the field of counselling psychology & therapy, including psychotherapy, assessment, supervision, & consultation, as well as integrative approaches to health, which are informed by the structure of Neurolinguistics perspectives through a psychodynamic lens.

It is an innovative specialisation that re-imagines approaches to therapeutic practice, enhances & supports the intervention work of participants, & integrates the essential perspectives of Neurolinguistics & Gestalt in the view of inclusive & integrated approaches.

This course will provide a theoretical foundation & practitioner training in the contemporary techniques of therapeutic intervention, which will enhance the participants towards mastery of the subject.

This course provides a seamless journey from beginner to qualified practitioner in experiential, theoretical & research based work in Counselling & Psychotherapy Practice.

At the end of the course, participants will complete core modules in experiential theory & professional practice skills.

  • Learn systemic, structured & formula-based therapeutic skills of Neurolinguistics & Gestalt Therapy.

  • Learn tools to evaluate blocks in the clients preventing linguistic narratives.

  • Inventory through the concept to challenge the current model, discover resources & support growth & change.

  • Learn frequency of physical, emotional, psychological function & somatic experiencing (body, breath, movement & stuckness).

  • Explore the thin line between pathology & norm.

  • Learn tools to research & publish a paper.

This is an inclusive approach of bringing to the field the work by Richard (Dick) McHugh, Judith DeLozier, Robert Dilts & John Grinder. It is a conceptual, experiential & research based approach from contemporary psychology which has travelled over time from some classic approaches of Gestalt Therapy, the Interplay of Constellation Roles, Concepts of Transactional Analysis, & Deep Alchemy of Jung through metaphors & archetypes.

These therapeutic skills are essential whether you find yourself in a school or university, a community mental health clinic or hospital, or private practice. The microskills framework has been taught throughout the world of business, law, & medicine & used by UNESCO and others with disaster survivors, refugees, & AIDS workers. These skills are also basic to interpersonal communication--they can make a difference not only in client lives, but also in your own relationships with others. (Ivey et al., 2018)
