Interdisciplinary Program in Trauma Studies, Psychological Intervention and Behavioural Manifestations

For Interventionists (therapists, counsellors and coaches), trainers, psychoanalysts and psychotherapists of all schools

Short description

The Interdisciplinary Program in Trauma Studies, Psychological Intervention and Behavioural Manifestations offers a rigorous academic enquiry into how significant life experiences shape perception, coping, relational responses, and patterns of action across time. The curriculum attends to trauma, addiction tendencies, dream imagery, grief and loss, and the physiological and neurobiological signatures through which experience is registered in breath, posture, and behavioural expression. Participants engage in systematic study, reflective dialogue, and applied observation grounded in neuro-linguistic programming and Gestalt-based frameworks, with emphasis on understanding manifestation, containment, and intervention in real-world practice settings. The program prioritises intellectual depth, disciplined self-observation, and ethically informed engagement with complex psychological material within a serious training environment oriented toward conceptual clarity and skill refinement.

This is not a counselling room; it is a training room. Come to learn and practise. Healing may emerge as a by-product, yet if you are in active distress, please seek a qualified counsellor or therapist.

This Advanced Studies Program is designed for psychotherapists, trainers, mental health practitioners, psychoanalysts, psychiatrists, coaches, and experienced facilitators from diverse orientations who wish to deepen their understanding of traumatic impacts, behavioural patterns, grief processes, and the neurobiological and bodily imprints of experience. It is best suited for those already working in mental health, facilitation, training, or intervention spaces, and is not intended as a first exposure to psychological study or practice.

The structure includes four independent workshops, each of two days, together forming an eight-day academic learning journey that unfolds across the year. There is no fixed sequence, and participants may enter at any point, attend selectively, or space their learning across different years according to their readiness, time, and professional focus. Not all four workshops are necessarily conducted every calendar year; at times a particular module may not be offered for an extended period, so participation is encouraged whenever the opportunity aligns with one’s phase of inquiry. The learning approach combines conceptual exploration, reflective dialogue, and experiential observation informed by neuro-linguistic programming and Gestalt-oriented enquiry, offered as a serious, research-rooted educational space for practitioners who are willing to engage with depth, presence, and responsible psychological reflection, without it being a clinical qualification or licensure pathway.

This workshop is an intense practice group with activities and exercises which aim to generate new pathways and new neuro-synaptic connections so that we are empowered with the choice to take our illness and convert it into wellness.

This is a two-day workshop aimed at skill development and understanding how events and interaction or even void and absence creates the program of our life, sets filters, rules and establishes value and hierarchies through which we view the rest of our life and landscape, unless acted upon.
